These are the amazing time that i bond with my little one, it's so exclusive,it can't be replaced by anyone. I feel so special when i carry him, spending time with him, talk to him; and to see him respond to me, it's such a wonderful moment.

Breastfeeding

sometimes he like to rest his little hand on my breast, as if trying to hold. HIs little eyes would look at me, recognizing me as his mother.

Most of the time Jonathan fall asleep after feeding, he removes his mouth from nipple, make a 'ze' sound, then rest his head on my breast, his little hand still holding my breast.

Kangaroo care

this is the best way to comfort him while he cry for no reason, or probably cry for comfort, want people pick him up....

After the midnight feeding, i sleep at about45 degree, put him to sleep on my chest, the position is just like kangaroo care, then he fall asleep soundly fast :)

milestone with Baby Wei Ern - 2nd month

Time really flies, Wei Ern is in his 2nd month now, let's jot down what we have achieved so far:-

1. Jonathan start to grin.

baby likes to bath, he always smile while daddy bath him

He likes daddy play with him, making "ngiao ngiao" sound at high pitch

Surely, he smiles when i play with him, fulfill his needs.

2. Sleep longer hour

At night, baby used to sleep at 2-3am, wake up for milk every 2 hourly. Since 9 Jan 2012, Wei Ern reach another milestone, he only wake up at 7am for milk. The timing is good that when i get back to work, i could feed him before i go to office.

3. Increase in size

we are always find baby is very small size, tend to compare with others, especially Harry's baby, she is so chubby.

9 Jan 2012, baby went to hospital to get his 2nd month vaccine. He is now 4.1 kg, and 50+ cm in length. Baby has got round cheek, more fat especially his legs, and grew longer, there's where the milk go.

Wei Ern pee or poo while feeding, and sometimes like a big bomb, hence, i think he may not be a fatty boy, and that's also the reason that he needs to be fed for hours, as long as 2 hours.

Fluffy dog still bigger size than baby, but very soon, baby will grow up and play with her. This photo, fluffy is protecting the baby.

4. Less swaddling

Jonathan has got free room to stretch himself nowadays, we didn't swaddle him; only he is cranky.

5. Investment for his bright future

I've got him saving plan, that's for his pocket money. Now i hope i could get a property, invest for his education fund in future. Friends told me the Foresta condo at Sri Damansara is good investment, but it may not be affordable.

6. Enjoy breastfeeding

It's indeed a bonding time with Jonathan. Now, breastfeeding is not as painful as the beginning. It's so much easier especially when we were out. Yesterday we were out for long, i just need to have a shawl then i could nurse him. On top of feeding from breast, i also pump out the breast milk, store in fridge.

7. No more postnatal depression

Weeks ago, i was a bit blue, worry about missing baby development when i get back to work; maternity leave just too short; i have so many house chores to do, how could i maximize my time spend with Jonathan?! i decided not to cook; bought a washing machine + dryer, not to open the window.......as such, baby, mama can spend more time with you

8. Jonathan is having his own passport

Got him a 5 years validity passport which cost us only RM150, 50% cheaper from the adult. We may be going to Singapore Mac- April and Bangkok in August which his grandparents against this. In fact, in the past whole week, Jonathan has been out with us everyday :)

9. Wet papa's pants

For the first time, on the 12 Jan night, while watching movie, Sam carried Jonathan, burp Jonathan on his lap, our cutie pie wet papa's pant. Sam was patient, never scold him, just change :)

10. Communication

On top of crying, baby seem start to make some sound, as if talking to us.

I also start to recognize his cry, the one with the "neh" sound means he wants milk.

Postnatal depression

Not too sure I am or I am not having postpartum depression.

Here's what I am going through:-
1. Miss my husband a lot, especially when he is not at home. The love for him suddenly gush out from me?! Or I am seeking more of his attention ?!

2. I cried twice in 2 weeks time. The first was quarrel with Sam, I can't remember what was the actual issue. The second time was failed to breastfeed 伟恩，the feeding could took 2 hours; the pain from the first suction after latching on, not enough sleep, all these incidents made me very tired and emotional. At the end, I had a one to one talk with Jonathan, set rules for him - there's time for everything;e.g. do not sleep while eating; when you eat, you eat ; learn to focus with things that you do.

3. Thought of becoming full time mother, I start getting worry Jonathan's development when i resume to work. I can't trust others to take care of him. At thus point, Sam still want to take care on his own.

4. Worry I do not have enough time for the family. When I resume to work, I'll be back home around 6pm, left with 6 hours to spend with Sam and Jonathan daily, it's not enough to build a strong loving family.

5. With the concern of Jonathan's development and quality time with family, the thought of becoming full time housewife even stronger; but, I may become those lady that long for hubby to come home, complain about neighbor, market...... Other than that, my income is also crucial to support this family, how could I quit ???

Baby Jonathan dedication

As Christian parents, we would like our child to be Christ's follower as well, since Wei Ern in my womb, the grandparents (Sam's side) and myself have been praying for Wei Ern to grow up in Christ, to be a vessel of God.

My faith is that so long we are in Christ, no matter what, no matter how bad, we are always in His good hands. When we are at the edge of the palm, going to fall, God will turn or flip His hand, so that we are taken care off. Therefore, it's very important in our life, to have a Saviour like Jesus, who is my God, my friend, my Father....the one and only God that i am having faith with.
On 25th December 2011, we had the baby dedication event in church, which is sister Siok Beng's house, because the church's lock can't open.

25 th Dec 2011, also the first day Jonathan come to church after he is born. He was so awake through out the whole service, from the worship to sermon to baby dedication. Praise the Lord that baby doesn't make noise, he just open his eyes big look around, as if listening to the sermon - Papa Heng preached about being a container that filled by Holy Spirit.

During the baby dedication session, baby Jonathan open his eyes huge, looking at Papa Heng pray from him with power and authority. Praise the Lord!!!

My prayer to Jonathan:-

1. Be a Christ follower that rightly divided the words of truth

2. Perfect health

3. Smarty boy that full of wisdom

4. Handsome boy - you are always mama handsome boy

Baby Wei Ern Full Moon party

On 25th Dec 2011, we organized a little full moon party for Wei Ern.

I wanted to had one for him for the reasons of:-

1. tradition

2. thank you to friends who care for this baby

3. i may regret if i didn't have a party for Wei Ern

Instead of traditional cake, i ordered cupcakes from cookiebox instead, thinking of something special for full moon, with milk bottle and foot prints design, cute!

The cupcakes cost more than usual cake, this is rm190+ , but just once in his lifetime, worth it!!

We had the party at Pizza Hut, one of the easiest, and simple way.

Sam and I really crack our head to plan and call up restaurants. We have chinese and malay friends, therefore, typical non-halal chinese restaurant can't be our choice. We thought of Halal restaurant around Hartamas, too costly!!! RM50 per head with the reason of it's Christmas day, need to pay triple to the kitchen.

We also thought of buffet style, but we can;t organize it at our house, not conducive; also can't have it in church, our Malay friends may not able to attend.

Argh!!! Pizza Hut is the best choice, i guess! Baby, what do you think?!

Towards the end of the party, baby cried for milk. Oh no!! How to breastfeed in a public place like this.

At the end, i had to feed Wei Ern in the car, which without tinting, because this is a courtesy car from the show room. It was so difficult, hot and my outfit is not breast feeding friendly.

Finally, we made it!!!Thanks God baby was cooperative.

Breastfeeding

It's not a very pleasant experience to me. On the first 2 days, there is not much milk production, am also not too sure did baby suck in colostrum. Sam was worried about baby has got no food intake, keep asking me to feed Wei Ern with formula. I was firm on breastfeeding at the beginning and eventually give in as well.

On day 3, i tried to squeeze my nipple, i was so so so excited when i see milk drop out!!! Hooray, i got supply, though little.

Breastfeeding is not easy to me, once he latch on correctly, the first few suck was extremely painful. Both my nipple also bleed with this suction power!! My boy indeed is very very strong. Therefore, i am actually phobia towards breastfeeding. I pray that God help me to overcome this.

Jaundice

On the 29 Nov, baby went back to hospital for jaundice checkup, his index was 430+, Wei Ern was about to do blood transfusion, according to Dr Yeu.

Wei Ern was admitted to hospital for 3 days, and i was down to fever on the 29 Nov. Argh! the advantage of private hospital is that there are nurses to take care of your baby, the parents can rest; but the bill for the phototherapy treatment was thousands time more than government. For the sake of the boy, just spend for him, also having the thought that i save a lot from delivery, consider this as part of the budgeted cost.

On 2 Dec, baby discharged from hospital, but we need to check him form time to time. Home care should be good enough, make sure baby could eat, poo and pee regularly, then should be fine, some may be fully recover in 2 to 3 weeks time.

Sam being a good father bring baby down to the pool side area to give baby sunlight phototherapy every morning.

Baby Wei Ern responded to the phototherapy, was given double light. Index drop from 430+to 350+ ofter a few hours treatment. It drops to 150+ when he discharged.

With my little bundle of joy, i wish to be full time housewife, then i could take care of him. Since he is the only child that we are having and going to be, he is our PRECIOUS !!! Thus far, i am giving him the best that i could.

Delivery 3: D Day has come

24 November 2011 - D Day has come !!!

0300 contraction started with every 15 minutes gap, each time last about 30 seconds.

0430 contraction getting closer, it comes every 10 minutes, each time last about 30 seconds

Contraction just like the menstrual pain to me, it's bearable at the beginning.

0830 Dr Aldrin came, vaginal check AGAIN !! It's awful, i scream. The dilation is 4cm. After checking, i quickly request epidural block. The nurses were fast in action, in 30 minutes, i was given epidural, oxytocin, antibiotic.

Epidural really did wonderful job, i could feel contraction but it's bearable, though my face didn't smile, but at least i could still take my own photo, not bad huh.

0900 communication with Sam to contact Judy to help me during delivery, mother in law to boil red dates tea

1200 nurse did vaginal check from time to time, after 5cm dilation, with the oxytocin, it was really fast. About this time, Dr Aldrin came, i was told that estimate to deliver at around 4pm. This time, Sam still what's app me about the car registration no. While the wife hardworking in hospital, the hubby take care of the others matter. I think i am quite independent!

1300 Dilation improve to 6cm, i may need to start to deliver baby soon,in 1 -2 hours time. Sam got to pick up Judy by now.

13:30 Judy is here, once i see her, my tears drop, i don't know why i cry, probably the tears have been keeping in my heart for so long?! i am actually not that strong, needed someone with me too?!or i am too touch by Judy to give me support during the process?! She comforts me, guide me the breathing technique

14:00 Dilation - 10cm, it's the time!!!! start to PUSH!!!! The delivery room is so happening, nurses giving encouragement, shouting PUSH! PUSH! PUSH! You are doing good job! Correct! Push! They can see the baby hair, Dr Aldrin guide my hand to touch at baby hair to encourage me to push further, this action really encourage me to push! In the end, Dr Aldrin has no choice but to use vacuum to help me to get the baby out! Finally, baby Wei Ern is here!!!!

The whole process was about 30 minutes.

Dr Aldrin start todo his job, collect stem cell, clear the after birth, stitching....Dr Yu, the pediatric cardiologist start to do the routine check, baby score 9 for the APGAR score. He made his first pee while doing the check, what a joy in the delivery room!

Here it is, baby Wei Ern is in my bosom now, holding him, admiring him, oh, my beloved baby!! Judy was very good, helped me to take photos, video all these sweet moments!!!

Delivery 2: in the hospital on 23 Nov 2011

In the hospital:-

nurse checked, ensure it's water bag leak before calling my gynae.

6:30am Dr Aldrin came and see me, explain my condition and treatment goal, we aim to deliver 24 hours later, hope there is no contraction and labour now. By delivering baby now is consider pre-term still, am in 35 weeks. Ultrasound scan the baby, the size is good and the amniotic fluid is sufficient, it's good for the baby stay in the womb now. There also may be situation that the water bag stop leaking by itself, but rare. So, I am gonna be mama earlier ;)

The midwives did a vaginal check on my dilation, not open yet. I hate this part, it's so painful and uncomfortable.

I was on drip, and given antibiotic; while the baby was given dexamethasone to cause an immature fetus's lung to produce a compound called surfactant. A full-term baby's lungs naturally produce surfactant, which lubricates the lining of the air sacs within the lungs. This allows the inner surfaces of the air sacs to slide against one another without sticking during breathing.

Premature infants whose lungs have begun producing surfactant are more able to breathe on their own, or with less respiratory treatment, after birth.

Admitted to hospital, i am still able to smile, not feeling any contraction yet

8:30am

The ultrasound scan shown there is some contraction, but i am feeling anything. That's how advance of technology nowadays.

12:30pm Dr Aldrin came, a check on me, apparently i am fine. I still didn't feel any contraction yet.

i stay at this condition until the next day morning, lying on the bed and wait.

Sam went home around 6am , came back to hospital to visit me at around 5pm, stayed with me about 1 hour or so. Around 11pm, Sam got me some food then he went back to clean up the house.

Though he didn't spend much time with me in hospital, but he can't contribute much if he stayed.

Delivery 1:Water bag leak at week 35!!! kidding me

I usually wake up at around 3am to empty my bladder, on 23 November 2011, there is something happened on top of just pee.......my water bag leak!!!

As i got up, i find my panties wet, felt weird. While clearing my bladder, extra fluid flowing out, and it continued though i have cleared my bladder. Quickly i called Sam, he was still in his dreamland while i told him that my water bag leak and need to send me to hospital now, NOW!!!deliver baby now!!!

I tried to put on sanitary pad, in a second, it got wet and with little bit of blood, change to a thicker sanitary pad.

In the other hand, Sam thought that i was over acting, no need to go to hospital now, could wait till the morning, only another few hours. I follow my basic instinct, insist, want to go to hospital immediately. While i am doing the final checking on my hospital bag, i got Sam to read the pregnancy book from Mayo clinic to understand how should we do now.

Without much info, off we go - Tropicana Medical Centre, emergency!!!

9 November 2011

Gynae check up today, result is good, baby is 2.25kg, 33 weeks old, heart beat checked, amniotic fluid checked, healthy and normal.

Ultrasound scan, baby hand is on his little chest, in vertex position.

Mummy feels so touch and can't wait to meet you, dress you up with nice clothes that mummy bought.

During consultation, my specialist - Dr Aldrin Lee, doesn't really encourage a detail

birth plan, reason being is the actual situation may not allow to execute the plan. He does encourage vaginal birth, he also explain to us that there may be some situations that need to do C-section, just be flexible.

My next visit will be on 1 Dec, 3 weeks later.....by that time, baby will be at 36 weeks.

After the gynae check up, we had our breakfast - fish head noodle, settled Sam's work, then pick Mami to take studio photos. I was unwell along the way, feeling nausea, hot, headache. Since i had made the appointment, don't feel like to cancel, so , we just go ahead.

The objective of the photo shooting is to capture the pregnancy moment, this may be the only time that i being a pregnant lady. I do not really enjoy the session due to uncomfortable feeling. The photo outcome is good, but not what i really want. I would not blame the photographer, because i also didn't communicate to him what i want. Back home (another day), do my own shooting with iPhone, hooray, i like those photos.

Took these photos at home with iPhone, Sam was the photographer.

After the studio shooting, around 4pm, i vomit my breakfast, Sam stopped his car at the road side twice.....clearly, i was on MC the next 2 days

During these 2 days MC, it was bad, vomit, nausea, headache, heart beating faster, tired, numb at the feet and face!!!!! Oh, Grace Tan advice me to be careful not to develop Bell's Palsy and thank God that i am not!!! 2 days bed rest did help me to recover.

13 October 2011, Thursday

Little伟恩kicking me now !!! Baby, baby, mummy could feel you. Today, papa and mama went to Ikea, bought you a 3 drawer cupboard to keep your clothes. Mama bought a lot of clothes for you, even knowing that you may wear for 3 months only, because mama can't wash for you everyday and it may not dry in time.

Here's the clothes for first three months

21 October 2011, Friday

Just finish laundry and cleaning the carpet in room, both hands are so tired. Though it's raining outside, I turn on AC, lying on bed, rest!!!!! That's what I need now. While resting, looking at the room, imagining how should we place the furniture, what else that are yet to clean and when to clean.... I have another 9 weeks to go if baby come on time.

22 October 2011, Saturday

Done my gynae check up today, results:-

Dietrician: " most probably today is the last time meeting you, keep up your current healthy eating, continue to monitor your glucose level."

Sonographer: baby is now at horizontal position, placenta is good, amniotic fluid is enough, baby weight 1.88kg, 32weeks old if base on size. He is moving.

Gynae: it's common that baby come out weeks earlier, we will assign Dr. Yew to be your baby doctor, he is a pediatric cardiologist, he will help to check, see you 3 weeks later, by that time will give you a list to prepare.

Wow!!!! It's near.

1 November 2011, Tuesday

When I wake up in the morning, both knees seem do not belongs to me, it's painful, especially the left, I guess it's contributed by the weight gain. 伟恩，you are growing well in my womb ya, stay healthy, mummy will walk slowly, carefully. See you soon.

5 November 2011, Sunday

We have done most of the preparation to welcome our baby, probably another 6 weeks more….or earlier...

set up the baby cot, put mami dog in there, she cried, don't want to sleep in the cot, prefer sleep with us on bed

Here's the diapers, sterilizer, milk bottles, breast pump, bath tub

Baby rocker and gym set, these are kinda standard stuff for baby

I am very emotional now, excited, nervous…..hoping baby come out earlier, could enjoy his presence in the family, also my body could relieve from all sort of uncomfortable feeling; on the other hand, I am worry that we have no more life for two, not as mobile as before....oh! another phase of life

Pregnancy journey 7

Stepping into 7th months pregnancy, stomach is getting bigger. The joy is to feel the baby moving so actively, especially when I am on the bed, browsing Internet. The sad part is that the heartburn is so terrible than until I vomit blood, the esophagus is eroded. The weight only 7kh more than usual, and I find so heavy.

Another 2 1/2 more months to go, we will able to see how's our baby looks like. I wish he has double eye lid, high nose trunk like dad, my lips, even smarter than the dad, not too fat when born because I may not able to bear the pain, tall like daddy.....above all, 伟恩 must grow healthy, and learn to have faith in Jesus Christ.

My prayer everyday now :

1. 伟恩 grows healthily in my womb

2. I'll able to bear the natural child birth pain with epidular block,

3. Breastfeeding successfully at least a year or more

4. I will recover fast to take care of 伟恩

5. Sam will be a great father and husband

My current activity:

1. Checkout baby forum, learn how to take care a new born

2. Browse you tube, learn swaddling, shower new born ...etc

3. Baby shopping, at least 80%done, start early and make sure I do not miss out important stuffs

4. House cleaning, I could only do a little in a day, start now, hope by Dec could ready

My exercise:

1. I walk a lot, I think so

2. Try to hand wash some clothes, at least there is squatting exercise

3. Stretching on bed

On 5 October, the result from the blood test is normal, but the glucose test is not good, I am having gestational diabetes!!!! Though I understand the situation, and how terrible it could be, somehow I do not feel worry, I have peace from God! As for baby, he is 1.4 kg today, healthy size.

A note for Fluffy - 3 years old birthday

My dog, Fluffy aka Mami is a wonderful pet that God created. We have her since Sept 2008, she was only 2-3 months old, so small!

We need to toilet trained her in order to keep the hygiene but it is not very easy if one without patient and love, it was mostly done by Sam. It was tough at the beginning, she was scolded and disciplined. Pretty fast, about 1 or 2 months, she knows where is her toilet and we also capture her bowel system. Now, she has her regular time to go to toilet.

When I go to work in the morning, she knows! She just sit still and look at me, as if saying goodbye. But if it's in the evening or weekend, she will not be happy, she wants to follow us.

When we come home, she will run to us, greet us, do her start jump, just wanting us to carry her, pat her, play with her. She will lick us.

Mami sleep with us on bed, she just stay quiet while we are still sleeping. Somehow, she seem know working and non working days. On working days, at my waking hour, she will come to my pillow and rest.

She has the sense of guilt as well, she knows when she is wrong, sometimes she hide when she make mistakes, sometimes sit quietly, after all the discipline, she will approach you slowly when you call her name. Arh!!! my sweet lovely dog.

Unlike human, she would not demand material needs, she only needs

1. Food - to sustain her life, definitely my girl know how to enjoy good food too, sometime, i give her raw chicken

2. Love - she doesn't like to be left alone, if I am in the bedroom, she will follow me to the bed; when I watch movie, she just stay in the hall, sometime sit at the sofa with me.

You are forever my beloved dog, my daughter :)

I think it's rather easy to think for a chinese name instead of Christian name, here's a few options that we have, and baby's grandpa also happy with it

王伟恩 - means great grace

王宏恩 - means grand grace

王凯恩 - means victory grace

Sam and i like the 1st one -王伟恩 Heng Wei Ern

How about the Christian name??? still scratching our head, hope could think of sound similar 伟恩 in mandarin like Wayne, but Wayne Heng sound horrible.....

Pregnancy journey 6

5 September

Had the monthly Ob&Gynae check up today, ultrasound shown baby is healthy, the previous check on the heart was a concern and now the heart is perfect. Thank you Lord! I know this baby is a gift from God, he will give me one that I could bear with.

Started to shop for baby, first is the baby clothing, spent RM600 just for his clothes, and yet to go others shops to search for his full moon handsome boy clothe. I think this should enough to last for 3-6 months then only get another set of clothes.

While shopping, cleaning his clothes, I had a feeling of joy which I think only mama could feel, yes! I am mama now!

Now we also have to more diligently think of our boy's name, I like the word grace, in Chinese is '恩', because it's God's grace to us, that we could live, enjoying what we are having now, even to bear this child and having him in our family. I would want the baby understand the meaning of God's grace, appreciate and embrace grace.

My dog can slide

On 31 August 2011, the youth is having a BBQ party at sister Siok Beng's condo. As i was busy with the food, Sam taking care of our dog. He placed her on the slide and she slide down on her own.

We are so amazed by her smarty brain, that she actually think how to do it, she lowered her body and slide!!!!

Hooray, my smarty Fluffy girl a.k.a mami a.k.a mimi, mummy feel so proud of you !!

oh ya, she just has a lot of nick name :)

I've learnt to give thanks to God everyday, and have been practicing this since ???can't recall. Here i have a few things that i need to list down, to thank God for his grace.

1. Baby

Our plan is not to have children but if have also ok....and now we have one, we decided just one. For me, the reason being is the pregnancy process just too tough, i am now in 19 weeks, still vomiting and nausea, can't eat, acid reflux, start aching at the buttock and shoulder, nose block while sleeping at night, frequent urination. Even so, i am grateful that baby is growing healthily.

Ultrasound scanning show that we are having a boy, it's good for the Heng family, at least there is someone to carry the family name. Papa Heng is happy, in his daily prayer, he call baby "little Sam" or "Sam junior". At this point, gender is not crucial, important is smooth healthy pregnancy and delivery.

2. Recognition from my workplace

Firstly thank you to my sales team, with their "never give up" spirit, only i could receive the award. With my products portfolio, it's not easy for me to achieve this result as compare to others business units. What i did right is make sure the team is tracking their own result, giving encouragement, understand the source of business and guidance to the team.

Secondly is the mid year salary adjustment. These years, i have given > than 100% to the company, not being calculative to work extra, never questions much. hahahha, in another word, i am very obedient! The amount is just nice for me to pay the monthly maternity checkup :)

3. Hubby's work

There is positive progress, though small profit but a good start.

4. Growing in Christ

I am able to share the grace gospel with friends by quoting bible verses, i do remember a few verses regarding to our salvation. Just hope that i could continue to grow.

Is there someone that you can't forgive? feeling of hatred?

It's common in life and probably it happens without realizing it, and eventually it's like a snowball, and find it hard to forgive. Sometimes we are so fear to be hurt again and choose not to forgive. Some people may just forget about the hatred incident/person, but does it means she/he has forgive?

Today i learnt the meaning of forgiving in different generation (or to be exact, dispensation)from Pastor Patrick.

In time past, human forgive others because they want to gain God's forgiveness upon themselves.

Matthew 6:14-15

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

But now,Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

The different is now we are living in grace, God has forgiven us before we let down our guard to forgive others.

Think, even God, the mighty one could be so gracious to us, why not we? Probably we just having fear to be hurt again.....

And how to forgive?? I think is by loving the person.

Put off the hatred, and put on love!!

13 July, Obs & gynae check up, it's a very very exciting check up, because we gonna know baby's gender!!! The days before, i keep telling baby to turn his/her body nicely so that we could know the gender, then only could go shopping for baby :)

From the image, can't tell the gender. With the ultrasound scan, it shown that we are having a baby boy!!!! Both of us are having very mixture feeling. To me, important is that baby grow healthily and the whole pregnancy stay healthy and normal.

During this scan, baby is not as active as previous scanning session, he did move a bit. We could see the head and body is more proportionate, legs, spine, ribs, could hear the heart beat as well. From the baby size and weight measurement, the EDD vary, in between 17 Dec - 25 Dec. Hmn!!!! Am i going to deliver on Christmas day?!?!?

As for my condition, i am still having morning sickness, nausea and vomiting still. Argh!!! quickly go away from me. I can't fit in my jeans anymore, just got a few stretchy pants and lose top to wear. I am still not in the shopping mood, ahhaha, could save the money for the moment :) I find it's important to stay happy, cheerful and good mood, this actually affecting my pregnancy.

Finally, i had durian!!!! very minimal quantity only. Baby, for your sake, mummy is eating 5-6 seeds only.....when you grow up, you got to go durian buffet with mummy!!

The 3rd Ob& gynae check up was 15 June, Dr. Aldrin Lee did the ultrasound scan but didn't print out a copy. We could see baby moving very actively, playing with his/her feet, so adorable. The gender still couldn't tell yet.

This is a busy day for us, Brother Tim and Sister Judy arrived on 15 June, 12:30am. We went to KLIA to pick them, locate them back to their new home, and by the time we got home to rest is about 3am. After the check up, at 12pm, send Alan to (Ps. Jesse's church member) LCCT and pick Jessica Killion at the same time. Thanks God to have Alan with me that he could help to look out Jessica while i am waiting in the car.

This is a surprise trip for Jess's parents. I was there with them during the meeting up, it's like i a movie, Tim was so shock and scream at the mall; Judy was so blur that she can't believe her own eyes !!!! Me, quickly take down some photos, this is a very very sweet touching moments. Deep in my heart, i thought, ' ya, it's good to have your own children! especially daughter like Jessica !'

26 June (Sun),a day trip to Singapore to collect books that my sister sent to me from States. I had a chance to meet with Aunty Connie, she taught me some tips to take care myself after delivery - drink dates water (which mixture of 3 types of dates). She also understand that with breast feeding, certain herbs and chinese cooking are not suitable. She went to US to help my sister when she delivered Elias. I am looking for a helper during my confinement, but just couldn't get any, lucky my mom willing to come to help me.

Sam's point of view is that do not need a confinement lady since parents could come to help to take care of the cooking and cleaning the house. He can do the part of taking care of the baby. With this arrangement, i guess the confinement lady is not that crucial to me. Sam also would like to attend pre-natal classes with me, i have books to read, colleagues and friends to learn from. Contrarily, Poey Chin insist that i should get one, first time mother may get panic when their baby cry or others unknown symptoms......

I am still, it's good to have a confinement lady to help, but not too big deal to me :)

This is second month in my pregnancy, those morning sickness still faithfully following me and there are times that it becomes more worse. I am still very much depends on Veloxin - anti- vomiting pill.

The baby actually determine my life now, what to eat, how to eat, what to do, when to sleep. It just totally not me. I just wish December could quickly come and deliver the baby. I found that i could eat Kuey Teow Soup, this is actually one of my sister's favourite food, when i don't know what to eat, then just go Kuey Teow Soup. I can't take spicy food, totally can't eat banana leaf which was my favourite, I'll have heartburn after that. Some nights, i have to sit and sleep to avoid acid reflux.

Second ultrasound was done on 18 May, baby is healthy. We could see the baby moving in the womb, and hearing the heart beating actively was so encouraging. The heart beat sound like a choo choo train, so cute. Oh, this ultrasound scanning shown EDD on 22 Dec 2011 :)

We could not tell the gender yet,if the baby is a girl, we could dress her like princess, Sam like to have a manja baby; if boy, Sam would have partner to play with, tennis, computer, car.....

Nah, not much to write about this trip, simply i din't enjoy much due to my pregnancy. A week before departure, I've been feeling emo, can't decide to go or not to go. I was thinking to have

the week off, resting at home, since the pregnancy is only at the 6 - 7 weeks, chances of

miscarriage is high.

On the 9 May, am, reporting office; around 11:30pm, gone home and called Sam to prepare to send me to airport. I was still being indecisive, telling Sam that i was thinking not to go, and

hence text Michelle (the team leader) that i am not going. Then Sam called back to encourage me to go!!! Oh gosh, I was in dilemma!!!! Around 2pm, text Michelle that i've decided to go, instantly she call me to make up my mind!!! OK, the decision is to GO!!!

just would like to write down what i remember:-

1. Food - all western food, have been eating steak for days as lunch and dinner!! I will not eat steak for months when i am back in Malaysia.

2. Shopping - not much to buy, in total, only spend around RM2K. I bought some baby clothes from Cotton On and left it at another shop. Feeling guilty that how could i forget about stuff for

little baby in my womb, the next night, i went to another Cotton On to shop for baby, spend more :) Baby, mummy love you :)

3. sight seeing - koala bear, bee farm, movie world, sea world.

Movie world, since can't take the ride, i was there in the morning only.

In this first trimester, I am going through a very very very tough period, morning sickness didn't happen in the morning but through out the day especially in the evening. Vomiting and nausea have become my close friends. Drinking and eating has become difficult. I am actually lose weight and having mild dehydration, skin drying and peeling. According to my pharmacist, Ms Chan from Allin pharmacy, it means the body is producing sufficient hormone to keep the baby safe, good to have this morning sickness.

On top of that, i am physically weak, there are nights that i slept at 7:30 pm, right after my dinner. I also need afternoon nap, what i did was sleep in car before starting my work after lunch. I just have no energy for anything, not paying much attention at work, not playing with mummy dog, not watching TV, no exercise, not doing mask, not using my SK II, no makeup.......oh!!! this is totally not me....

I am also experiencing another symptom, thus far i didn't find it in books, "itch", especially at my breast, weird.

There is only one thing cheer me up, look at the ultrasound scan below:-

she/he is only 6.7mm, 6 weeks 4 days old!!!! I am carrying a life in my stomach! While scanning my stomach, could see the baby heart beating healthily, i finally smile, from the bottom of my heart, feeling love, bliss.....

The EDD is fall on 29 December, i was relief, i don't want to have a "dragon year" baby, i do not believe baby born in this year would be smarter than others. Many chinese has this believe and eventually causing their children having unnecessary stress and competition. I pray that baby come out a week earlier, we could celebrate Christmas by carry and hugging baby, imagine the joy!!!!! The best christmas present ever had.

Wow! I have been hibernating from writing blog for more than a year!!!

From now on, i guess my writing would be all about my pregnancy. Basically it's like a memory lane, for me, Sam and baby to recall what we went through, how we fell, how we handle this.

Sam and I never plan to have a child, we just leave it to happen naturally. Knowing children is gift from God, if He give, we will accept openly and if He decided not to give, we are ok with it.

It started from the Sabah trip, dated 10-12 April 2011. Came back from the trip, i miss my menstrual usually in between 23-25 every month. It followed by nausea and losing appetite. At first i thought it was due to my wisdom tooth extraction, but the symptoms persist, hence, i checked with my dentist, also my tennis partner, Pat, we thought i might be taking too much diclofenac and therefore suffer from the side effects. Pat also suspect that i may be pregnant as well, and i guess so too.

To clear the doubt, Sam and I bought 2 pregnancy test. We did the test at A1111 during dinner, the first test was positive and i was a bit nervous, mixture feeling, thorn in between of want and don't want, hope to have or not to have.....oh, Sam rushing me to do the second pregnancy test and the result is

positive!!!

Oh!!! My God!!!! You are giving us a child. Everyone in the house, Papa Heng, mom in law, Sarah, Sam and I were so so so so happy. God is trusting us to have a child!!! We were overwhelmed with joy, talking about morning sickness, which Ob & gynae, hospital to deliver, baby's gender, name, education during pregnancy, how's our dog....

Sam's reaction was "huh, i am really going to be papa! oh! i am papa now!" , he repeated this so many times. He is actually feeling nervous and at the same time filled with joy, me too :)

I didn't rush to do the body check up, did some survey and decided to go for Tropicana Medical Centre, simply it's the nearest hospital to my house, new, and they are well known with their fertility centre.

Portabello mushroom with chesses is great for tea break, serve as finger food.....

Steps to prepare Portabello mushroom with cheese:-

1. Rinse the Portabello mushroom

2. oven bake the mushroom for 30 seconds

3. Put cheese (pizza topping, mozarella or parmesan) as topping

4. Oven bake for 20 seconds to melt the cheese

The portabello mushroom has a nice woody and wild taste, but it's compliment by cheese.

Oh ya, and it's juicy too...

Rendang Chicken

Serving: 5 persons

Ingredients:

1. 15 shallots
2. 10 garlics
3. ginger (a shallot size)
4. 1/2 tsp turmeric
5. 3 tsp curry powder
6. sugar to tsate
7. salt to taste
8. 3 stalks lemon grass (smash for flavor)
9. 1 cup of coconut milk
10. 2 pcs kaffir lime leaf
11.1/2 cup coconut kerisik
12. 800 gm chicken
13. 1/4 cup coking oil

Method:-
1. Blend garlics, ginger, shallot, curry powder, turmeric powder, salt, sugar with blender.

2. Heat oil, stir fried the blended mixture, lemon grass and kaffir lime leaf for about 5 minutes.

3. Add chicken.

4. Add coconut milk and simmer until meat is tender.(about 30 minutes)

5. Add coconut Kerisik and stir another 10 minutes.

6. Serve when paste is separate from the oil.

I found this pet shop - Pretty Pets is the right place to go in Ipoh, reasons:-

1. He gave 10% discount from the price tagged to the item, this is the same with most of others pet shop.

2. The owner, Danny Chin, has good knowledge about dogs and products, a genuine sales man whereby he knows what he is talking about. Help you to find solution to solve your dog's problem.

3. Basic grooming here is charge reasonable price, RM30 for Dino or Fluffy. Though i still prefer Dino's previous hair cut, but the groomer here is alright, she did very good job. I'll come back.

OH NO!!!! Fluffy is having her 1st period on 15 Mar 2009!!!! It's so soon, she is only 7 months old!!! Oh gosh....

This happened when we were away to Hosp. Fatimah to pick my dad. I saw blood stain on the floor and i quickly look at her private part. My little fluffy girl is having her period. Without hesitate, we call our usual vet, but he was engaged......then we brought her to pet shop, bought her this little panty thing which can slot in her pad (as picture below).

The pad is not cheap, RM5 for 10 pieces, it's not a quality pad, just a thin cotton only. I've decided to let her use my pantiliner only...

Sam and I hardly go for fine dining, he is not a food person but i am... Anyway, Jordan and Paola bought us to this Spanish restaurant called Elcerdo. They have been there a few time and saying they serve good food, worth to pay the money, must go again..

i look so tired, i had no time to go back home to refresh myself, Sam came to office to pick me there we go

Basically they serve pork, pork and pork...poor Sam who is a chicken guy, tonight is not his night...hahah

Erm...given a choice, i wouldn't go again. It just not my taste, i still prefer chinese roast piglet during chinese new year, more meat. Their popular piglet is soft and fatty, you can use a ceramic plate to chop it, somemore chop with style and lastly throw the plate into a basin, the waiter greet us blah blah blah...something like happy new year and relationship...it's good experience though

This is a special new year for me, i have a lot of new things to kick start year 2008. It's more challenging? more relaxing? more tough? more fun? more love? more strees?whatever it is, i want to claim jubilee in m life for 2008. I remember Evelyn Kang prophesied to me that " year 2007 is your challenging year but 2008 is your jubilee!"

Ok, my new year....i have:-

(2) New Handbag

A new coach handbag, gift from my sister, this is my 2nd coach .

(3) New shirts I bought a few new working shirts, the feeling that dress up nicely to go to work is great.

(4) New job I am going to work with Novartis CHC, i am very excited about this, hope i will move to new office, new parking, new environment, new people, new job scope, new boss, where i can start my career a new.

(5) New Thumb drive, It's a 8 GB thumb drive from Sam

I am still expecting more new things to come.....new house, new furnitures, new wedding gown......

Really thanks God for giving me hope in this new beginning!!!!

Phew!!!! I've been busy and stress for past few weeks, now, finaly i can sit down and release something here.

I am really stress out with my work,can't sleep well, can't eat, lose weight, cry.I always thought that i am very capable, manage strees well, corporate lady.....after these few weeks, i realize a lot of things

1. Money is not that easy to earn, must safe, live simply

2. I am really housewife type, i miss doing house chore and cooking

3. I am weak, not as strong as i thought, i become more humble

4. I am surrounded by great people

In situation like this, God must in the picture. hahha, i am more consistent with my daily devotion. Everyday, the message is so real and important to me, though i didn't feel spiritualy high, but i just believe that God is always there to change things when i can't cope.

Friends also play an important role, Hwee Pheng, Ee Mae, Si Ming, Tina, Vic, Jessie, Wendy, Grace, Charmaine, Aldrick, Hooi Ling, Josephine, Darren, Yin Hun, Hilda......they pray for me and listen from me.......

Sam......he couldn't stand my complainssssss....but he support me by saying," no matter what decision you made, i will support you!"

Sister, she is alwyas on my side and listen to all my complains

This is my favourite working shoe, i have been wearing it for 2 years, really worth the value, if not mistaken , this shoe cost me RM120.

I sent to this pakcik in Sunway Public Bank to repair my shoe, uncle really kind hearted and serious to his job. He charge me RM 15 only, i felt it worth more for his professional skill. I wanted to pay him more but.....i am not earning much....

Finaly got myself a new handphone!!!! I was phoneless for a few months, have been using Sam's phone until now i got mine....

Ya, you might said no point to pay RM1260 for just a handphone, but i find that it's worth..it has a very sophisticated speaker from Technology by Bang & Olufsenand , able to sync with Window Media Player, Windows Media Digital Rights Management (WMDRM) gives you access to various music sources, and makes it easier for you to purchase and download music from recognized online sites, 3.2 MP camera..

I love this phone a lot, it serve my purpose, hehhee..to take picture, then, have to let go my I-Phone which is only 2.0 MP

Pros:

2. I will feel tired and dissapointed.
3. I will complaine to Sam and my sister.
4. The relatoinship may become not so sincere and honest.
5.Above all, i am pleasing people more than God!!!!!

Look at it, pros are more to people but corns are more to myself. To be Jesus's follwer, it's not about ourself, but people. I guess, i'll continue to please people...hehehhe

Mae and I

This is the very first time people celebrated my birthday together with Ee Mae, my birthday just 1 day earlier than Mae's. There was a few celebration for us...

6 May 2007, Sunday.....in church, our cell gave us our birthday presents and sang birthday song in the church. They gave me a retractable lip brusher from shu eumura. I have been eyeing on this but it's too expensive, RM70. Apparently Pheng asked Sam what i wanted and he told her this. We got Mae a facial package.

Dad and Mom called to wish me Happy Birthday, in fact, mom called me a week earlier, she always remember my birthday and always the first to wih me happy birthday.

7 May 2007, Monday....Lei Wah called me in the morning to invite me for dinner but i can't. Monday is family dinner with Sam's family. Then she asked for desert. From the way Lei Wah talk, i expected something. 8pm, reached Lei Wah's house with Sam. Birthday song was sang at the door step, Sam Tan showered me with water from the garden's hose. All wet!!! We had dinner with Lei Wah's family, Sam Tan, Victoria, Ian and Nancy's family, Si Ming, Mae,Evelyn, Sam Heng...and Hilda, i was so so touched that Hilda came all the way from Klang just for my birthday. Part 2 of the night was soe question asked and we have to either answer or eat lemon. Me and Mae had to dance. Part 3 was cutting cake and open presents, Nancy bake the cake for us. I got a nice sleeveless top.

8 May 2007, Tuesday...unplan celebration or not a celebration, but to me, it's a celebration. I had lunch with my schoolmates, Poey Chin, Yee Huay and Popeye. We had pizza in Giant, Kelana Jaya. I enjoy the company very much, catch up and catch up!!
Sister called from US in the morning to wish me happy birthday. I wanted to talk more but couldn't because i wa bz in the office.
After my CMTP, went to Mike's house, they bought me a tub of ice-cream and present(necklace), a mini celebration, warm and cozy.

9 May 2007, Wednesday......went out lunch with Sam to buy my birthday present, a cap. I tried this cap during labour day shopping with friends, but did't buy at that time because i don't want to spend so much. Company gave me RM100 allowance to spend, i bought a Bobby Brown mini makeup set, ya, i am into makeup nowadays.

Check e-mail in the evening, Yun Hwa send a card to me, though she can't be here with me, but i can feel the warm wishes.

Night, we had birthday dinner with friends, Janelle gave me accesories. After dinner, drinks at Alisan, cut cake...Before leaving for the real drink, Mae kena kau kau from Joshua, Reuben, Jason, Eddy and Kay-X. Flour and eggs...hehehhe..i am not their target, clean clean!!!

16 April 2007 (Monday)
Took company's photo after breakfast. I took this chance to take some pictures with my friends.

Meeting with Johnson & Johnson Consumer Healthcare, Chai Li came all the way from PJ to meet with us. We presented our sales and some point of action. I am handling these products for 2 years plus 4 months, almost every informations are at my fingertips.

Lunch :
Buffet at Crown's net Restaurant. I enjoyed my lunch very much, there's herbal soup and pandan chicken.

In the evening, about 6pm, Lay Chen, Yen Yen, Janet and I spend time together on water sport. It was cool, we played boat riding and banana boat.

Dinner:
Chinese Seafood Restaurant. The first dish was special,big bun wrap curry chicken. I ate a lot of crabs.

Back from dinner, Lay Chen and I organize a little birthday party for Yen Yen. For the very first time, we celebrate our team member's birthday. We wanted to give her a big surprise at the bar. Eventually, the bar manager sort of ruin our plan. The communication was done in between us and the staff, but the bar manager pandai-pandai took over the programme and the event didn't turn out as what we wanted. One thing was glad that Yen Yen really felt surprise.

17 April (Tuesday)
We had trainning with Ace Itchon fromPhilippine. My 3rd time with her. She is getting better and better in term of giving trainning. It was fun and lots of activities. Morning was games and afternoon was the trainning about Handling Objection.

As usual, we need to be pro active inorder to gain points for the team. Champion will get a big box of goodies. My team was Champion of Year 2006.

Dinner: Chinese Restaurant, seafood again, crab again....but tasty

Yen Yen, Lay Chen and I had a great girl's talk at the bar after our dinner. We share a lot of things, career, relationship, family, friends, pass and future....We just talk, talk, talk...time flies, by the time we really tired, it was 3am. Back to the room, me and Lay Chen continue our conversation. Girls, i love you, i treasure our relationship, wish both of your dreams come true.

Hummer Bummer

Darryl and my sister got their Hummer, it's a H3.

This is a adventure model Hummer, with sliding glass sunroof, Bose sound system, and some safety features, cool car!

According to my sister, the side mirror was vibrating when driving, even on the first day they collect the car from the dealer. Anyway, the dealer can get it replaced. The back mirror is rather small for them, they need to install reverse sensor. Charissa's opinion is Honda Pilot is more comfortable for passengers, spacious, better quality car compare to Hummer; Hummer Bummer is better when they go off-road and jungle.

Wow! H3 is all and ready to hit the roads and off road.

My experience with Hummer, I've seen Hummer 1 once during my trip in US, it's darn fierce! The H1 is the civilian version of the military Humvee. The window is very very small, people can't see what you are doing inside the SUV. Hummer also drink more petrol. According to Khoo Kian Hong calculation:-
RM 60for MYVI - about 500km
RM60 for Hummer- about 120km

My another experience with Hummer is this long long Hummer in New York City, H3 is common to see in the road, but not H1 and this long long H3. Manage to have a snap with it.

I had a good chat with Sam, Mike and Jessie over the dinner, somehow the conversation lead to the topic about God.

It's good and cause me to think deeply, and i felt that my relationship with God can be described as sweet, fear, friend, love and faithful.

There was a question that i didnt get the answer that night, untill during my devotion the next morning:-

If He is all knowing, why He want to test us? He knew the answer and our choice
The answer is:-

The test is not for Him to know how strong is our faith and love for Him, but it's for us to know how strong we are.

Somewhere last week, i decided to have a change, make up my mind to perm this Maggie Mee hair. I had this hairdo while i was Form 6.

I used to pay RM30 to perm this hair in Chemor. I was so shock that I was charged RM 100 in Kangar, way over my budget. Finally negotiate to RM80.

Hmn..i like my new hairdo, make my RM80 worth.

1. Did Jesus lead us to temptation?
Let's check Matthew 6:9-13

If we are not tempted, then it's not a temptation. It is temptation only when we are tempted.

Children Ministry Trainning Programme

I completed the foundation (At His feet)of this tranning last year September. And now, I am " In His feet", more advance lavel, more memory verse to memorize, more tough works/assigments to do i guess....All in all, it's more challenging.

I want to list down the purposes i join this trainning, i believe it will help me to move on when i am lazt to go to class.

1. It helps me to draw myself to God, my faith increase.
2. I enjoy the dinner in Lei Wah's house, and the fellowship with Lei Wah's family.
3. I enjoy Mei Sean's company, she is cute, funny and bring laughter to the the group.
4. I like the assignment.
5. If i'm not well equipped, the children can't learn the best things from me.

I used to have friendster account, and find that it's useful, i can connect with friends, especially those i knew since primary school...

Funny things happened to my Friendster, somebody so free, nothing better to do, create a friendster account using my name, my pictures, my e-mail, my profile and adding my friends!!!! It's just another exact Emily Foo in Friendster!!! The worse thing is this person wrote something that i would never write about myself e.g. beautiful me, sexy me, cute cute...which i never think about myself this way.

I was confused when i first found out; now i am feeling disturbed by this. Worry something bad might happen!! Before allowing it to happen, i quickly delete the account.

Should i continue to use Friendster? i can live without it; but i can't get my friends' update....

Hmn! 7 of us, I like number 7. In Christian point of view, 7 is a perfect number. God create the universe in 7 days, and He said it’s good. There is 7 days in a week.

In bible Matthew 18:21-22, Jesus said forgive a person who sins against you seventy-seven times. It’s not 77 times, it’s 70 X 7. It means uncountable. Isn’t it great?!?!

To me, 7 is a perfect number, there is no superstitious in this.

I am the eldest, followed by Seng Yee, Sook Mun, Zing Wen, Yun Hwa, Poey Chin, Shan.. This bond started since we were in secondary school, and it does grow deeper and deeper as times fly. Every year, we try to meet up as much as possible, at least once during Chinese New Year; normally Poey Chin, Sook Mun and Yun Hwa always make arrangement for the meeting.

18 February 2007, for the first time seven of us gather together again after 3 years of separation. Seng Yee is back from UK!!!! She did a surprise arrangement for us =>

We had the meeting at Sook Mun house, as usual, we chit chat non-stop, talked about each other life, future’s plan and the Seng Yee in far far away …..etc. Suddenly Sook Mun went out; I thought her family is back or something. We continued with our conversation. “ Surprise, see who is here?” Seng Yee march in with Sook Mun and her sister!!!! We scream Seng Yee’s name for so loud, it’s all from our heart, it’s sweet => My tears just drop.

19 February 2007, we met again at Shan's house, wearing the t-shirt that Seng Yee got for us from UK, camera flashed here and there, we became Miss Kuala Kuang, Miss Chemor, Miss No.10…..

Sisters, I love you all. We are the unique one, though we hardly meet, but we can talk about serious and depressing topics, we also can share our joy and silly things together whenever we want to.

A series of unfortunate events

It started 30th January 07, i got a ticket from police in Subang Jaya, SS15 due to double park. I was so calm, never get angry and still able to worship and praise the Lord through out the day.

On my way to Kelana Jaya, Vitacare Pharmacy, i prayed for people and my love ones in the car and sing song worship the Lord loudly....bad thing happened to me at 4.15pm, my car window got smashed!!!! my purse and handphone and everything in the car got stolen, my total lost is about RM3K..... ok!!! I still behave calm and praise the Lord that i was not in the car.... As the night come, i started to question God why these happen to me who love Him? who do His work? why???

It didn't end here...

6th February 07, i fell sick, fever, flu...virus attack...sick for days still not yet recover

8th February 07, went to Am Bank to pay my credit card bill via cash deposit machine, during the transaction, no power supply, my money stuck there and no transaction slip came out!!!! Troblesome!!! Have to go back to bank the next day to report!!!

Oh God!!! Please don't test me like Job!!! I need a rest =>

Car's window got smashed

31 January 2007, visited my customer Vitacare in Kelana Jaya SS6/3, knowing that i need to collect a handful of things from the pharmacy and it's a quick one, then i get down the car without carry my working bags.

Thing happen very very fasy, less than 2 minutes, may be 1 minute...the robbers smashed my car's window and stole my 2 working bags...i lost my purse, handphone....everything...

Same thing happened to Si Ming 2 weeks ago, we talked and talked about these kind of incident, but i never learn...Now, as long as i leave my car, can't have any things revealed in the car.

20 January 2007, Saturday, teachers, assistant teachers, elders and whoever serving in Junior Church dressed up formally to attend this exclusive CLGC Junior Church Teachers Appreciation Dinner.

Teachers busy decorating the room, make it nice and cozy!!! Like a 5 start hotel's restaurant!!

Catherine, me and Johanna. After this dinner, i got to know Johanna more. She can dance very very well. She performed during the dinner together with Andrea and Alyssa. I was very touched, tears just can't stop to drop out.

This is the main course, tasty!

I pray to God that bless the people who make this dinner happened, teachers and assistant teachers will be blessed in this ministry, we will be able to pour and give more to the children. In Jesus's name, Amen.

6th January 07 - The journey ended

My flight stop at Stocklom Arlanda International Airpot, Sweden for 1 hour. Came down to buy a magnet as a souvenier.

Reached Malaysia punctually at 7.05 am. My best friend Khoo Kian Hong took this picture for me. This is the aircraft that i came back with, Boeing 777-200.

Sam came to pick me up with flower, we had a little sweet moment there:>

The only upset thing from the airport is they damage my luggaga again, it's my new, first time use Samsonite F-Lite which i bought it in Orlando with 10 years warranty. Anyway, MAS officer provide good services, they documented my report, and promised that MAS will either repair or return a new one for me. It makes my RM4750 air tickets worth! Thanks God ,after so much of hassle,i got my Samsonite luggage with me now. Some people said," aiyah, go travel don't need to get such a branded bag, no matter how, it will damage!" Still, i will get a Samsonite in future. It's just good!!! You will know if you have one :>

Back home, there is another surprise from Sam, he installed a water heater for me...Hooray!!!no more cold shower!!! I love you, Sam!!!

4th January 2007 - Tata Sister, tata Darryl!!!

Last day in States, went to a great Italian restaurant to have lunch, i can't really eat, heart was so heavy to leave. Then, went to Radio Shack to get something for Sam then back home.

It's time to go back to Malaysia, after lunch i started to pack as my flight is 9.45pm local time. Sister cooked dinner, but we were too full, can't eat. I just drank a small bowl of lotus roots soup, tasty!

God told me that i need to pray for them before i leave.

6pm, cry a little during shower. Time was getting closer and closer. I told God, i can't take it, i want to be with them. I just love them. When we about to leave to Newark Airport, we prayed and we cried.I know we love and care so much for each other.

At the departing gate, we kept wave good bye to each other untill we can't see each other...all these still very very fresh in my mind now....Emily, don't cry!we are coming back to see you! We love you also!

Sigh, i just hate separation!!!!! Separation just full of sadness, tears and sorrows. Why not God just put everyone together as in when we want to meet a person, we can just stand next to the person, don't need to travel so far, not bind by the times and space, this will be great....May be this only happen in Heaven.

3rd January 07 - Atlantic City

Atlantic City, It is famous for its gambling casinos and boardwalk.

The parcel for church came early, about 11am..We were so happy that we don't need to wait, can go to Atlantic City, New Jersey, it's only about 2 hours drive from Edison!!! About 2pm, we get up and go!!!!

This is the Atlantic City visitor centre, it's in the middle of the road.

Here's Ripley's Believe it or Not!! I saw a few this kind of weird Ripley's building in Florida, just that didn't has a chance to take the picture.

Back ground here is Trump's Taj Mahal. Along this beach side, there are a few casinos and hotels. They are from different management but the buildings are link from one to another.

Ok, this is wild wild west, the theme of the casino also wild wild west, the whole building is decorated according to the theme.

My beloved sister and brother in law. They are so lovely, i miss you.. I remember very well the moment both of you take turn to drive to Florida, i massaged for you, chit chat, eat, Darryl's favourite nestea, apple chips which i don't like, Darryl always feel hungry and i always want to go to toilet. All still fresh in my mind, it just like yesterday to me.

31 December 06 - Boston

It's Sunday, before leaving to church, Darryl said:" we are going to Boston after the service!!" Cool!!! We attended second service. In the worship team, the base player looks like Sam...haha, i felt like i am in Malaysia, the songs that we sang also the same. The sermon is good, i had a little thought of my achievement in 2006. In order to make the sermon interesting, the pastor slot in a few clips in his sermon. We were given a daily devotion book before we left.

4 hours drive to Boston. It was snow in Boston, by the time i reached there, only salt. Wow!!! great experince. At least it's something different from Malaysia, it was very cold too!!

We visited Quincy Market and had Lobster as dinner.The lobster taste so nice, like crab but easier to eat compare with crab, tender and juicy and fresh!!!

About 7pm, we drove back to NJ, Darryl suggested to countdown for New Year in Time Square, New York City. Glad that we didn't go, or else we will stuck there for hours. We just stay at home and watch Countdown Live from different states through TV.

It's a shopping day in New Jersey and New York.

I was suppose to collect the curriculum that church order today, somehow things didn't turn out easily, not all the books arrive, and we had to go the a unsafe place to collect the books.... Eventually, we had to order online and do 1 day air shipping. After ordering through the internet, only i found out a few mistakes (credit card and shipping country code).....aiyoh!!! hate this but somehow God gave me peace and i knew things can be done!!!! Hhahaha, finally, the books punctually, some of them with 50% discount. I believe there is a lesson for me to learn through this incident. It's to "wait", " patient"...you wouldn't know what will happen next. God will turn all the bad things into Good things!!!! Not only good things, graet things!!!

Jessie's Coach's bag, the design that she wanted is not the latest, a liitle bit hard to find, i searh whenever i go shopping, just couldn't find the exact one that she wanted. After searching a few malls, we found it in Macy, some more with 20% discount. Jessie told me that she save 50% on this Coach bag.

Jordan's Nintendo, the wii....it's so popular, no where can find it, we search untill 9pm only we go back, the next day we went to NYC again to search... Sorry, Jordan

Paola's Gothic Powder...i don't really know what is this..i asked the sales gal in the cosmetic shops, they also dunno what is this...too bad!!!

Sam's tennis stuffs, Babolat is not popular in States, i think it's because it's a France's products... They have a lot of Prince, Willson and Head. Just manage to get him the Bandana which Malaysia and Singapore don't have it yet. Throughout the journey, i got him a t-shirt and cooler from Everglades, socks and timberland T-shirt from Orlando, T-shirt from Washington, bandana, light and car air pressure check from RadioShack.

I was super tired after the Florida trip. On our way back to New Jersey, we stopped at Washington D.C., just sight seeing. On the way there, we drove pass Pentagon, it's huge,we can't get in here, we just managed to take the pictures in the turnpike.

This is the white house, i saw many guards on duty move around the building, some even at the top of the white house. There was a lot of people out here to take picture with the white house, heheheh, i was one of them... Journey to Florida #5 Orlando

25, 26, 27 December 06 (Lost count of the day, hehe, too much fun!!!)
The highlight in Orlando is the world largest Walt Disney and Universal Studio.. I was given a choice to choose to go to either one of this. After the research about Disney and Universal Studio, i chose Universal Studio. If to go to the 2, we don't have enough time.

Reached here at night, explored the Universal Studio. Inside here, you can go to either Universal Studio or Island of Adventure.

The moment we stepped in the Universal Studio, we felt so relax. We forgot about works, admins and dates. It's like back to the childhood. Long time i didn't feel this way.

This is the largest Hard Rock Cafe in the world. Things in Hard Rock is just too expensive for me. I used to collect T-Shirt from Hard Rock, can't catch up now..

26th Dec early morning, about 9am, we reach Universal Studio. First ride was Terminator 2, follow by Back to the future, Men in Black, Mummy, Earthquake, Twister, Jaws and Shrek. In the evening, there was a parade in the Universal Studio, according to Darryl, this parade was not as great as the one that they saw in Thanksgiving. Anyway, there was Shrek and Madagascar and some others cartoon and characters.

It was super super hard to take this photo. Shrek and Princess Fiona always faced opposite of my direction. we had to run and run to chase them, called them . Eventually, we got it!!!Hahhaa, thanks to Darryl being so patient, thanks to my sis to called Shrek and Princess Fiona.

About 8pm, we finished the games in Universal Studion, we continue with Island of Adventure. We managed to take the superman ride,spiderman and Poseidon's fury. This picture was taken while we were in the Q for Poseidon's fury. It was very very great, very impressive. I find that i am part of the games, not just a spectator.

10pm, we went back to Universal Studio. There was a special event there. There showed the movie trailer on two big ball in the pond, green colour laser beam shooting around from the building, displayed firework from time to time untill the end of the highlight.

27th Dec, the weather was more warm compare to yesterday,there is more people in the island of adventure.

The first ride was Dudly Do Right Rip Saw, water ride. I didn't want to the first seat as i always in the first seat. Then i wook the second, my sister just went behind of me, then...i thought Darryl will take the first seat...damn it! He sat behind of my sister, i am the first again!!!!! Along the ride, my adrenaline keep increasing.After the ride, i was all wet and super cold!!!

Since we are wet, we continue with the ride which require water. Then, we took the Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges. This is mild, as in i didn't feel the heart beat so fast. It was fun...ahhahaa, after this, i just stand under the sun, to warm and to dry myself. We even took off the shoes and socks, hang and dry it during our lunch time...hahaha, crazy yet sweet memory!!!

Jurassic Park River Adventure, i was not really enjoy myself here, becasue all wet and cold, just wanted to dry myself. I like the most in this park is this net climbing, it's cool and fun. There is a research centre here, they will show the life cycle of dinosaurs started from the egg hatch.

This is the 8th Voyage of sinbad. This theatre is cold and cool!!! It's interesting, very very intersting show! I was so amaze at the way they showing it.

It's Seuss Landing, this place is more for children. Darryl find this is nice, one of the reason is his mom used to buy Dr. Suess story books for him. To me , it's just a nice, cute, fairy land, i never read the story before.

This spiderman is very popular. People Q up to take picture with him. I was lazy to Q, i just stand at another side to take this picture...ahhahaa, bye bye long Q

Night time we couldn't take this picture nicely. To take this picture, we waited for the globe to moveso that we can see the word UNIVERSAL.

About 8pm, we finished all the games that we wanted to play, super duper tired...continue our journey with SHOPPING!!!! Dinner at 11pm!!!

Journey to Florida #4 - Miami

24 December 2006, Christmas Eve
First station in Miami is the Lincoln Street, happening place, fine dining and shopping area. Once again, we were only with shorts and sandals. We had a quick walk at the street, then order Thai food for to go.

Looking at this place, i realise that long time i didn't dress up nicely to go for dinner. So use with t-shirt and short, it's just comfortable. I am a casual person, i like casual.

0000, Christmas time, my sister gave me a box of Christmas present. Really, a box of christmas present. There is Swatch, tea, socks, t-shirts from Europe. She got Darry a tie for Christmas present.

This is South Beach, Miami. There was not many people here during this winter. Though winter, the weather is Miami is warm and dry. It was very very windy here, it blew away our beach towel.

My footprint. I had the idea to make a footprint when i am in beaches. So far i have one in Club Med Cherating, Key West at Florida and South Beach at Miami. hehe, i think i have small feet.

Here's somewhere Collin Street, shopping here. Some of the things are super cheap, i got myself a top and a short skirt at USD 3.99 each. Imagine if you are working here and pay this amount for clothing, it's so so so cheap for the American!!!

Surprisingly the street is kinda quiet on Christmas day, not as happening as i thought, it was just a day.

Great!!! it's Asian food. During this trip only i realize that i love Aisan food. Both me and my sister do not enjoy western food. We look for Chinese Restaurant wherever we go. Here's a Japannese and Vietnamese Restaurant. Yummy, Yummy!!!

Journey to Florida # 3 - Key West

Reached here late night, went to Duval Street after checking to hotel. This is the best hotel of all that we stayed. we found the t-shirt " somebody love me bought me this T-shirt from Key West", shopping, shopping and shopping untill all the shops were closed.

Key West is a city and an island of the same name near the southernmost tip of the Florida Keys in Monroe County, Florida.
Key West is known as the Southernmost City in the Continental United States. It is also the southern terminus of U.S. Route 1. To take picture with this thing, we need to wait for the Q...

It's my footprint...

Many activities at the beach, it's cool, but i don't feel like playing. I just like to sit on the beach and do nothing. Some people bring their books to read, suntan, swim...... Here, i ate ice-cream, got Khoo Kian Hong a bottle of Coke Diet 2006 Christmas Edition. Here again, i was biten by a sea creature which i never seen in Malaysia. It's blue in colour, looks nice.

This train looks cute, if you are lazy to walk, or difficulty to find parking, can take this train to travel around Key West downtown. They rent all sort of transport to give convenience to tourists.

Downtown, can see the chicken running around the market, it's so Malaysia... even the design of the houses here are similar to Malaysia, the different is the people and the vehicles.

This car is cute, but i don't think it's comfortable, so small inside.

We had luncg at this restaurant and bar call red fish blue fish. Food here is very very tasty, but very very big portion for me, i can't finish the food, such a waste.

After all the shopping, continue our journey to Miami.

Journet to Florida #2 Naple & Everglades

wake up about 8am, had a short while in Naple. Took some pictures.

This is Naple city Dock...not much to do here. We were looking for magnets and souveniers..but can't find any nice one here. Just got a coke 2006 Christmas edition for Khoo Kian Hong.

About 11am, we reached Everglades. After purchasing the airboat ride ticket, we had Subway for brunch. Here, i bought a t-shirt, magnets and cooler.

I am in the middle of nothing here. looks scary. Here, we wish to see manatee...but it's not our day, manatee just stay underneath the water, not doing any sun tan...hehehe. Anyway, i felt great, it's adventureuous... cool!!!

This is Totch island, owned by Rewi's family now. After Loren G, "Totch" Brown death I , "Lorna" Totch's daughter searched to find out who owned the little Island and found it belonged to the Collier Family, and with respect for her dad and I, allowed her to purchase it as a Historical site and she named it Totch's Island.

This is the captain Picoozee (not sure the spelling), he is a cool guy. He has very very good skill, he able to drift this airboat. So much fun!!! He knew where's the place aligator hang out as well.

There is a few airboat company around, make sure you take this company, this is the only company that bring you to the Totch Island, thousands islands, and the cypress.

This is the cypress, we saw alligators and manitee here. After 1 and a half ride. We continue our journey to Everglades National Park, which is not too far from here. I didn't see much animals here, only various kind of birds, alligators and a deer.

We took shuttle ride to tour around the National Park. It's 4pm in the evening.Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. The area boasts rare and endangered species, such as the American crocodile, Florida panther, and West Indian manatee. It has been designated an International Biosphere Reserve, a World Heritage Site, and a Wetland of International Importance, in recognition of its significance to all the people of the world.

By the time finish the visitation, it's 6pm. Conitue our drive to Key West!!!!

Journey to Florida #1

4th day 21 December 06
It's a thursday, road trip to Florida.

This is funny, Santa is driving on the road, he is not a friendly Santa, i waved to him but he didn't give me a damn!!! Anyway, this is Highway 95.

First time order food by myself in the States. It's pizza for to go. You need to say "to go" in order "take away". Rest house is very rare in highway 95, we came out from the highyway to buy food and 'release some water'.

It's waffle house. Weather here is getting more warm. At least i don't need to wear a coat.

Here's like malaysia only! it's warm out there, just a T- shirt and a pair of jeans is good.

This is Mc Rib, there is no way we can find it in Malaysia, even in the States is very rare. Mc Donald is Darryl's favourite,and it is everywhere in the highway.

After about 13 hours of driving, we had a rest at Naple. This is downtown of Naple, it's a happening street. Most of the people dress up nicely to have fine dining here...we were the only one with the sandalas and shorts.

There is a lot of nice, cool car parking along the road side, this is one of it. we saw Hummer (H2) also.

It's very cold out there though sunny, may be exercise can help to warm up the body. So, smart of me, wearing a pair of long pants, 2 layers of top, went out straight. Out there, i just jump and run, thought it will help, but i still feel a chill in the air. Ok, i just manage to took some photos then back home.

But....the bad thing is i took about 5 minutes to open the door, silly of me ya...

Dinner, finaly i got to eat the Japannese food at Arirang. The chef did some trick while cooking,it's entertaining! Food is nice, i ate lobster and steak....tomorrow need to exercise again.....

Didn't do much today. I just stay at home to uploads the photos, write my diary. It's cold out side, lazy to go out as well.

Dinner, brother in law wanted to bring me to eat Japannese food at Arirang restaurant. Too bad, it was not my day. We went to 2 Arirang, both also close for company dinner. We end up having Thai food, it's very tasty in fact. I like the green curry, superb!!!

After dinner, had a little hair cut!!!

The entrance to the Statue of liberty is very strict. I am no kidding. We have to remove our jackets, watches, belt, hand phone to scan like in the airport. For human, they do UV scan, the security is so tight. This is the ticket that we bought to enter the Statue of Liberty, we can go to the museum, see the structure of the Statue, view from the statue.

I didn't go to Manhattan bridge, took the photo from Brooklyn bridge. The Manhattan Bridge is a suspension bridge that crosses the East River in NYC, connecting Lower Manhattan with Brooklyn. The bridge was opened on 31/12/1909.It has 4 vehicle lanes on the upper level (split between two roadways), and 3 vehicle lanes, 4 subway tracks, a walkway and a bikeway on the lower level. The upper level has 2 lanes in each direction, and the lower level can be one-way in peak direction or have 2 lanes in one direction and the other in the opposite direction.

This is not just another cross. People found this 2 metals, they join it to become a cross, it's a symbol of hope to the people who lost their love one during 911. It was placed somewhere near ground zero and it's moved to here.

1832 Times Square Times Square is the name given to a principal intersection, at the junction of Broadway and 7th Ave. Like Trafalgar Square in London, Times Square has achieved the status of an iconic world landmark and has become a symbol of New York. Times Square is principally defined by its lighted and animated advertisements. It's a very happening city, the pathways are crowded by people. The cars just park at the road side, it's legal. Darryl had to drive aggressively in order to get a parking. There's bicycle that can fit 6 persons. People share Christ in the walk way.

The most memorable thing to me here is Charmin restroom, the whole building is rest room, Charmin (toilet & tissue paper comp) is doing their marketing here. It's very hard to find a clean toilet in this area, we're so glad of this restroom. Though it's long Q, we still go and see what's going on there.

16 December 06 - The journey just begin

I didn't plan to visit my sister in US this year. Every year end, she comes back to Malaysia but this year she can't make it. She invited me to visit her instead. I decided to go to US somewhere around 4 Dec 06.

16 December 06 (M'sia)

5.30am woke up. Sam send me to KLIA.

7.15am reach KLIA, check in.

Sam was waiting with me until my final boarding call at 8am. He is sleepy, after that have to drive back alone. Thanks, dear.

8.10am , The security check in KLIA is very very very tight. They check almost everyone's bag. For me, thanks God, it's so smooth and easy, just past through.

I manage to call my parents and brother to say good bye before i leave. Of course,i called SAM as well. We were on the phone while i take this picture. It's waiting hall, 8.30am.

I was flying with MAS. Their service quite good, the stewardess called Bee Kim is very nice to me. There is a personal screen, TV/Movie/News/Games on demand, multiple meals. The journey is boring, i slept, eat, watched movie, played games, went to toilet, walked up and down, took pictures..erm..not a very productive day.

2.07pm, altitude 33999 ft, flying at 756km/hr. I was trying to take the picture of Himalaya at my right. Left is New Delhi.

What is is river in India call? i can't remember my geography.

It's nice land,i think i was in Russia territory, can't really remember.

This photo is taken at 8.25pm (M'sia). The view from my left is sunset, view from my right is getting darker. From here, it takes another 42 minutes to reach Stockholm Arlanda Airport in Sweden.

The night is coming.

Took this photo when i reach Stockholm Arlanda Airport, it's about 4.30 pm in Sweden (9.58 pm in M'sia), but the sky is getting darker and darker. Outside here is only 5 degree Celsius. so cold!!!

In this airport, security check twice, double work only. Even some of the passengers said so. I chit chat with them. After 1 hr waiting here, on board again. After this, i didn't take any pictures, because it's dark all the way i reach Newark Airport, NY.

When i fly pass Atlantic, it's so cold, super cold.

Finally, landed at about 8am (M'sia), and it's 8 degree Celsius in NY. The immigration officer is very friendly to me, he gave me 6 months visiting pass. Bad thing is my luggage damage...heheh, i have reason to buy a Samsonite now...hahah

Sister and Brother in law picked me up from the airport,back home a while then dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant in NJ. So tired, sleep loo....

I love my Parents

I find that i am the most blessed one in the whole wide world because i have parents like my mom and Dad (Yenti Rusli and Foo He Kuang). They love me, really really love me, pamper me like little princess, teach me and guide me untill today.

When i was in secondary school, always wanted to leave the family, want my own way, so selfish :< I regret now.....i want to spend a lot a lot a lot of time with them. It's just so comfortable when i am at home with them in Ipoh.

My dad has a little farm, i like to go to his farm to see him do his work there, chit chat with him. My dad always give me fruits and vege from his little farm for me to bring back PJ here. It's love.

I like to follow my mom wherever she goes, from kitchen to hall, from hall to her bedroom....just chit chat and help her a bit in cooking. Mother updates me the latest news in church, neighbourhood, relatives...etc. I have a habit, before i sleep, i like to chit chat with my mom in my room, sometimes we pray together. Before she going back to her room, she will turn off the light for me. After a while, she comes back, ask me what to eat for breakfast, what time to wake me up. It's love.

9 December 2006 i went back to Ipoh with Sam Heng, mom cooked 7 dishes for 4 persons. Wow!! it's all me and Sam's favourite foods. I brought the food back to PJ here as well. This is an unplanned trip, i went back because i worry i may die during my trip in US, then i can't see them for the very last time...

Anyway, i pray that God will grant them long and healthy life and i have a safe trip to US, so that i can come back to be with them again. From 2007 onwards, i'll try to go back Ipoh at least once a month. "Ba ba, ma ma, wa ai lu", i speak Hokkien at home. Ya, i am the most blessed one, no doubt!!!

First time teaching preschool

Today is my first time teaching preshoolers.They are Alyssa, Ayesha, Adora, Benjamin, Nicholas, Soloman, Danielle, Katryna, Charmaine, Kayla, Zoe, Jonathan, Daryl, Yang Yang, Gabriel.... It's super fun to teach them. I didn't see myself as their teacher, i find that i am their friend. They are so sweet, so lovely, i just want to hug them tightly.

When i prepare the lesson, i was worry that they will find the class boring and not familiar with me. I prayed for Holy Spirit to help me and also the children. God is great, i see the other side of Emily when i am in front of children. This Emily is cute, brave to make funny action, hilarious, talk a lot.

I also thanks to the assistant teacher, Evelyn and Karmen. It's great to serve together with both of you. Without them, i will be busy with the children disciplin.

During my CMTP (Children Ministry Training Programme) in FGA, I was told that Jesus has no grand children.

We are all HIS children. My earthly daddy is HIS son, i am HIS daughter, Jesus is our Father. He wants to have personal relationship with every one of us. It's not "ya, i know Jesus, He is my father's Father." It doesn't work this way. We need to build a personal relationship with HIM. Hahahaha, the relationship is so complicated yet so simple.....

This thought "Jesus has no grand children" amused me....
